Moore is founder of the 2nd Story Counseling, a Chicago based therapy and wellness education firm on Chicago’s Northside.
As a specialty firm within the center, Dr. Moore developed the Couples Counseling Center of Chicago . He is a licensed therapist, a board certified drug and alcohol counselor and approved clinical supervisor.
As a consultant to media personalities and their handlers, Moore has assisted a number of Hollywood celebrities and their families with unique issues impacting their lives. He has also been called upon by the media to help the public process feelings and emotions tied to celebrity deaths. His work has been featured on television, newspaper and radio, including the Chicago Tribune, ABC Television, Cosmopolitan, CBS Marketwatch and Billboard. He is Editor and Chief at the men’s issues blog, Guy Counseling.
Prior to transitioning into the healthcare field, Moore worked for 15+ years in management, marketing and sales capacities for a variety of well-known organizations, such American Airlines, the American Bar Association and SPSS, now a subsidiary of IBM. He has provided wellness consulting services to many in the corporate and non-profit sectors, including employees of JP Morgan Chase, Starbucks, Boeing and Goldman Sachs. Additionally, he has assisted members of U.S. the Armed Forces, First Responders and their families with stress related issues.
Moore earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from the School of Behavioral Science at Northcentral University. Additionally, he holds a MBA from the Indiana Institute of Technology. He is a Professor of Health Sciences at American Military University and a consultant to a number of higher learning institutions and Fortune 500 companies.
