I hope you’ve excused my absence, sweet readers. I’ve spent the last week trying to organize a move, which has taken most of my time. As anyone who’s moved can imagine, a lot of things get put on the backburner when a move takes place!
Unfortunately, one of those items on the “backburner” checklist has been working out and eating healthy. I missed an entire week at the gym, which — at first — left me feeling pretty guilty (not that moving entirely over-packed boxes isn’t a workout, but…still) and my healthy eating went to crap. Until this week, I’d been living off whatever survived the move and the nearest restaurants.
Some of it wasn’t pretty.
However, not too long into the moving process I was reminded of some of the best advice I’ve ever received when it comes to getting active and eating healthy:
“You wouldn’t slash all of your tires just because one of them went flat.”
Pretty simple, but it packs a pretty powerful punch.
If your tire goes flat, you replace it and keep going.
Remember, whenever you get off track — for whatever reason — there’s no sense in feeling guilty and giving up altogether. You can ALWAYS get back on track. Change your tire (whatever got you OFF track) and get moving again!
