My wife and I run a non-profit focused on trap-neuter-return of feral cats. We also do some work on psychcentral which is how I came upon your poem.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We have experienced it often and it’s always painful.

I copied your poem on our organization’s blog and gave you credit and linked back to your post. If this is problematic for you please let me know and I will take it down.

    Best wishes.

Hi James:)THANKS for Your work of Compassion! Tangerine “Tangy” was a neutered feral cat that loved us as much as we loved him. He kept his independence; very self-sufficient…would visit, sleep-over and take off out and about. He made many friends as protector of our neighborhood! He loved the outdoors, adopted us and found a haven indoors when he wanted it. Tangy’s qualities i really respected…special cat and we felt special that he would return to us. Sadly, this recent return was his last: RIP…A fierce, fearless hunter with a soft, snuggly side that liked to cuddle after his kitty-cat adventures! He didn’t need us, but made us feel wanted as family!:)

Peace to You & Peace to All Paws
