12 Years of 911

Sketch91193721It’s been 12 years since 9/11!

SADLY, many continue to suffer due to the events of that unforgettable day.

Healing is a process. A process that is individualized and collective.

Individually, one heals when one is able. Some seem to heal faster. Some seem to heal slower. Everyone heals at their own pace. Neither pace is superior; just different.

Collectively, we heal together as we communicate, cooperate, comfort, help, resolve and repair.

Don’t we all need healing from one thing or another, eh?! We all need healing from the culture of hate and violence, lies and mind/body poison!

This is my first time writing about 9/11. (Can You tell?) Personally, I’m not too into rehashing graphic, traumatizing, negative details. For me, I usually don’t like to linger long on the negative. Pressing forward in positive work helps me heal emotionally.

What helps You heal? Prayer, Meditation, Writing, Reading, Exercise, Volunteering, Poetry, Spirituality, Kindness, Generosity, Gratitude, Art, Music, Love, Compassion?

A: Some of the Above B: None of the Above C: Testing out the Above D: All of the Above

911 = emergency or unforeseen event that can turn your life upside-down or down-side up. We all have had our 911 moments along with 9/11. I hope You are not having a 911 day as in totally tragic.

“Time and Unforeseen Occurrence Befall Us All.”

Lots of tears and prayers on September 11th. Some reciting by rote their favorite prayer. Personally, I’m not into parroting the same words over and over and over again and again. Same words lose meaning/become meaningless over time. Would You read my blogs IF they were exactly the same thing, the same exact words over and over, time and time again?! NOPE! Would I blame You?! NOPE! Some could wonder why their so-called “prayers” go unanswered…Uplifting, encouraging and healthy conversation between trusted friends with a real relationship is not like that. It (conversation/communication) changes, heartfelt words vary with each conversation/form of communication.

As a result of 911, some are experiencing, among other stuff, major anxiety. This practical wisdom sheds insight on anxiety:

“Do not make your boast about the next day, for you do not know what a day will give birth to.” Proverbs 27:1

“So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Sufficient for each day is its own badness.” Matthew 6:34

This post purpose: acknowledging the devastating loss of All-Beautiful-Breathing-Fragile-Life on our entire planet from 9/11 onward!:(

How Many Species on Earth?” {Good Question–Do You know?!}

“We are still remarkably uncertain as to how many species exist, highlighting a significant  gap in our basic knowledge of life on Earth, say scientists whose research appears in the journal PLoS Biology. Although their estimate is 8.7 million or so, other experts put the figure anywhere between 3 million and 100 million. So far, only about 1.2 million of those species have been classified, and it is believed that at the present rate, it could take over 1,000 years to catalog the remainder. “This slow advance in the description of species will lead to species becoming extinct before we know they even existed,” says the researchers.

“The world’s population surpassed 7 billion in late 2011, “up from 6 billion in 1999.”-  Harvard School of Public Health, U.S.A.

As humans, how will history classify our species? Individually and collectively–As violent, hateful, loving, compassionate, living or extinct?? Sketch91193721
