You Don’t Have to Explain Yourself

  1. I love this post. So often, we do over-explain our choices, even to ourselves. We are constantly seeking permission to recharge! The example about working from home really resonated with me because I make my own schedule; people often don’t understand that just because I choose when I work doesn’t mean that I can just stop working at any moment, or that I can change my work schedule around willy nilly. If I did start doing that, I would not be very successful.

I think in a lot of ways, we have been conditioned to explain ourselves since childhood and it’s very hard to change.
