We are creating a world full of “short attention spanner’s” as you said we flick through, browse, or scan. I agree we should all have a day per week without the urgent use of ‘technology’ love the thought that couples will actually take to one another over dinner etc…..I’m all for the world going ahead but at what cost to relationships..work colleagues, families or couples
Technology…lots of pleasures, lots of pitfalls. Connection at the expense of connection. Weird right? I may try out OmmWriter. I usually have a podcast playing in the background that I’m only half listening to anyways. This would be a much more mindful way to be in my writing practice. I like the Moment app for my iphone. It tracks how much time I’ve spent on my phone. Chimes in with reminders every 15 and 30 minutes I’m on it. It also has a great scree-free time feature where it will do this annoying buzz sound whenever you unlock your phone during the specified time. Great article Margarita!
