What if You Change Things, Even Just a Bit?

What if you toss the scale in the trash?

What if you talk to yourself as though you’re talking to your daughter or son?

What if you stop drinking?

What if you become curious about your emotions, instead of avoiding or judging them?

What if you let yourself cry?

What if you tell them how you really feel?

What if you focus on your strengths?

What if you start exploring what genuinely fulfills you?

What if you stop dismissing yourself and ignoring your needs?

What if you start taking a more light-hearted approach to everything?

What if you connect to your imagination more?

What if you put down the phone, and let yourself feel bored, or sad or uncomfortable?

What if you donate the jeans that no longer fit?

What if you create what you need?

What if you dance and sing more?

What if you stop yearning to lose weight? What if you stop doing everything you can to be smaller? What would happen? What kind of habits would you want to engage in, habits that you enjoy, habits that energize you and inspire you? What things would you do? What kind of peace might enter your life?

What if you ask for help?

What if you give yourself permission to play and make mistakes and experiment and learn and fail and try again?

What if you realize that you can do hard things?

What if you tell yourself the truth?

What if you see a therapist for your eating or body image issues?

What if you start treating yourself with kindness, and continue being kind, whether you accomplish a certain goal or not?

What if you start this today?
