Today I love hard decisions, the ones that are made decisively and firmly with no going back, decisions that are determined in their nature. I love that I decided some time ago that I would enjoy what life I am given to the best of my ability and it has made a grand difference in how good my life is in my opinion,

    Once again, a timely (for me) and uplifting post, Kelly. The drinking part is so on the money for me. It’s been eighteen years sober for me, and it is beyond a blessing, a monumental lifesaving decision – the only down side is the occasional bubbling up of old memories of drunken behavior and the attendant shame. But your non-judgmental rear view mirror might be a step I can try to put to rest that bit of misery. Your actual, practical appreciation of life as it is and what we make of it is an inspiration.       Hi, Frank, I too find myself inside that bubble of shame on occasion, and yes it certainly is a downward direction. But I practice what I preach and I remind myself that those around me deserve my best. And so do I.
