Today I love radio and the fun I have getting to do a radio show once every four weeks. I love that in two weeks time I’m going in to the station to do live radio for a couple of hours as a pre-show for Summerfolk2020 and that is going to be fun if I have anything to do with making it so. I love that I got my radio show finished just twelve hours after the time I prefer to get it done, and that was an accomplishment given that I lost the contents of a hard drive with all my work and my music library on it. I love that, although I lost the most recent edits of a book I’ve been working on, I hadn’t done much work on it in a while so I think I have a couple of recent copies in backups and they should be a good enough place to resume work from when I slow down with all this other stuff. I love that today is Friday and if they get caught up from my slowing them down with a late submission, I will be on the air tonight at 11PM Eastern Daylight Time at Blues and Roots Radio (and again at 7PM on Tuesday) and that’s more than okay with me. I love that I always wanted to be on the radio and even though it’s just a volunteer thing I’m thrilled with getting where I wanted to go when I was a child. I love that I know some professional radio people like Diana Meder and Steve Ritchie and others, and they are always fun and friendly when I see them and Steve is such a great help to our show. I love that Georgian Bay Roots is in my life and fits so well with what I want to do as part of my volunteer work with Summerfolk.
Today I love that there was porridge this morning ’cause I did in fact get it made last night. I love that yesterday was long and hard because I got through it and that made me feel like I had accomplished something. I love that this week has been a challenge and it has shown me how well I get through challenges when I’m constantly looking for things to love. I love that an old hard drive crash is nothing when I can see all the things I still love about my life.
Today I love that I will get a lot of writing mileage out of a crashed hard disk, more than you might think.
Today I love drinking a relaxing cup of coffee in the garden after having gotten my show sent off to the radio stations that play it.
