Today I love this warm wet day and our hearty and healthy walk through the foggy grey of it. I love that we walked over four kilometers which is more than two and a half miles. I love that the recycling is being picked up around our area, though I am honestly surprised by the number of single use plastic water bottles in there, as if our water from the tap isn’t good enough and in most cases better for our health than that bottled stuff. I love that I drink tap water all day long and haven’t had a “bottle” of water in many years. I love that so many people that I know are swearing off those damned plastic bottles. I love that a long time ago I suddenly realized that people were processing water into something less healthy for me and putting it in plastic bottles that are bad for the environment and leaving the world to pay for the damage while charging us for the water that we shouldn’t be drinking and pocketing the profit and I decided I wasn’t that stupid anymore, that’s self love. I love that I’m going to get myself two cups of water as soon as I finish this paragraph and drink one straight out of the tap and process the other one, also from the tap, into a cup of coffee which will still be better for me than a bottle of “demineralized, remineralized with inaccessible minerals” water in a throw away, single use bottle that will then require reprocessing, and it will be so good.
Today I love that this day will cool down in the afternoon and that will make it feel cozy inside and we’re contemplating a movie today because I did so much work yesterday. I love that I’m thinking about pulling wire for the new light in the living room and for moving the other light in the old dining room but I may just continue to think about it since a very good corollary of the measure twice cut once wisdom is to give lots of thought to a plan with an open mind and you end up with the best plan.
Today I love that yesterday we had homemade waffles for breakfast and they were really good. I love that today’s breakfast was porridge made in a pot on the side burner of the barbecue and I love that my cook top gets closer to being installed with each passing day, even though I still don’t know when that will be.
Today I love drinking coffee made with non-bottled water and also drinking water made with non-bottled water and thinking about how good those things are for me.
