Today I Love The Sparkling Sun

Warm feet are lovely things

Today I love the sparkling sun as it makes its way up into Autumn’s sky of beautiful rich blue and lights up all the leaves of brilliant color that are every where I look. I love this time of year, love the rich smells of earth and water and wind and even rain. I love that the smells of the seasons always make me feel like I am being fed the ethereal food my soul needs, love to breath deeply and find myself saying, “There you are.” just like when I found the best part of my life. I love my easy, happy life and the way it keeps me smiling, even when I know there are some things that could be better. I love how I am able to take note of all my problems and remind myself that if this is all I have to grumble about it shouldn’t take me long to be done grumbling and I can then get back to enjoying my life. I love that we got to spend a bit of time at the cottage on Sunday and yesterday, I love that place, though I’d love to go there some day when I don’t have any work to do. I love that we spent the weekend mostly enjoying ourselves and that included me wandering off to the curling club last night to watch people learn to curl and to help out where I could.

Today I love that tonight marks the debut of our local radio show on the international broadcast scene when it becomes a regular show on the online broadcast station, and I really love that my episode from Sunday is the first of our shows to be broadcast by them, I’m excited. I love that I would just make radio shows all day long if there was some way to buy food and shelter with recordings of that nature. I love sharing what I like and what I know with people.

Today I love that we are apparently going into cookie production mode tonight and I see a messy kitchen wanting a good cleaning in my immediate future, though I gotta say it will need me to redd it up today before we start so that’s on my to do list too. I love having things to do, keeps me busy and that keeps my mind from wandering and with any luck the things I do are what are needed to keep things moving forward.

Today I love drinking my coffee in the great room with the sun shining warmly on my feet.

Today I Love The Sparkling Sun

Kelly Babcock

I was born in the city of Toronto in 1959, but moved when I was in my fourth year of life. I was raised and educated in a rural setting, growing up in a manner I like to refer to as free range. I live in an area where my family history stretches back 6 or more generations. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 50 and have been both struggling with the new reality and using my discoveries to make my life better. I write two blogs here at Psych Central, one about having ADHD and one that is a daily positive affirmation that acts as an example of finding the good in as much of my life as I possibly can.
