Today I love the misty moon hung high in the predawn sky. I love the rich fog spread silver before the deep dark of the morning sky and the sweetness of the cool morning air as it drapes my shoulders and comforts me as best it can until I go back in to the greater comfort of my living room and easy chair to write. I love being up before the day starts, getting things well begun and preparing for the things that are to come. I love that the washer is whirling and grumbling away as it gets clothes ready for the line and the first breakfast has been eaten and we’ve scattered to our tasks. I love looking forward to second breakfast, though I’ll not likely eat much then as I ate a full breakfast to get myself awake and going already. I love that there is lots to do today, and since it’s all been well begun there’s every hope that we’ll succeed at all of it or at least most of it. I love that it is not all work, there is some recreation to look forward to in this day and that will be the better parts. I love that I am working on writing up coming radio shows and I’m hoping they’ll be fun ones for people to listen to.
Today I love that this is election day here in Canada, and though many of the people here are upset and disgruntled with our election system it is still the only opportunity to make your choice known, at least in counted numbers. I love my country and look forward to either enjoying the right government being elected or enduring the wrong one until we can oust them. I love that in my life I have voted for almost every major party there is, I said “almost,” not every one. Ha ha. I love that I am happy to talk personal politics, but not here, if you can’t guess my leaning then you haven’t been reading very closely.
Today I love that we survived the road this weekend and that we will be on it again soon enough so this was good exercise for that. I love that our old car just keeps rolling along, sterling little thing that it is. I love that the gas guzzling truck sits idle unless there is something that only it can move, and then it does its work and returns to its place of rest. I love that my web page is back up online, not that there is much there, but it is mine and that’s a point of pride. I love that I am thinking it is time for that site to be reconstructed.
Today I love drinking coffee while I gather my wits and strength in order to take on the day.
