Today I Love Moose Can Coffee

Rainy moose can office Wednesdays

Today I love moose can coffee in my moose can coffee travel mug. I love it because it keeps my coffee hot for a long time, because it has moose silhouettes on it, because it reminds me of Victoria B.C. where I bought it, and because it does not leak when it is sealed. I love that it holds two regular sized coffees and fits easily into my hand. I love it because it fits in my back pocket and in my coat pocket and in the side pocket of my backpack, and though it does stick out of all of those places it doesn’t fall out so that’s worth a bunch more love right there. I love that the moose silhouettes are kind of comical and remind me of Bullwinkle Moose from Rocky the Flying Squirrel. I love that it is easy to open up for drinking out of and almost as easy to open up to fill and clean. I love that it is almost entirely stainless steel with the exception of the rigid nylon top that makes it so functional and easy to use and clean. I love that a good travel coffee mug is one of the most important things a person can own and I’ve had the good fortune of owning several and this one is the best so far.

Today I love sitting in my Wednesday café office and looking out the window at the rain as it falls steadily on the streets, washing the air and making Autumn smell its most autumnal ever. I love the smell, the feel, the mystery and the moodiness of this time of year, love being indoors looking out, or wrapped up and walking through it. I love when I am outdoors in the cold and feeling warm, or when the day is surprisingly warm and bright but the ravages of fall are evident everywhere. I love Autumn, it is my favorite time of the year for at least three months of the year and maybe a little more.

Today I love that there are cookies and squares as well as cake and banana bread and bread at home and I love baked goods so this makes me happy. I love that my smart watch seems to have become part of my life very quickly and very smoothly, I’m happy about that. I love that there are limits to its abilities but they are natural limits that are reasonable to expect on a watch, and often it just flat out asks me if I want to send what I’m looking at to my phone and I’m all like, “Yes!” and so it does and there’s my phone buzzing and showing me what was on my watch but bigger and more and I’m like, “WOW! Cool.”

Today I love drinking coffee on a rainy Wednesday in my Wednesday office from my moose can.

Kelly Babcock

I was born in the city of Toronto in 1959, but moved when I was in my fourth year of life. I was raised and educated in a rural setting, growing up in a manner I like to refer to as free range. I live on the traditional lands of the Chippewas of Nawash in an area where my family history stretches back 6 or 7 generations and my First Nations friend's families go back hundreds of generations. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 50 and have been both struggling with the new reality and using my discoveries to make my life better. I am a freelance writer and I write two blogs here at Psych Central, one about living with ADHD and one that is a daily positive affirmation that acts as an example of finding the good in as much of my life as I possibly can.
