Today I love being me and all the perks that come with this life I live. I love that I am part of a small but feisty nuclear family in a mostly quiet but happy home. I love that we revel in adventures and then collapse into resting and recharging when we get the chance. I love that we know that we can watch TV in bed for an entire day and just knowing we can do that and have done that, and knowing we enjoy it and would again means we don’t have to do it, but we totally could. I love that we are talking about swimming again and that we’ll likely start going to the pool soon just so that I can get ready to swim this summer and I am looking forward to that. I love that we are taking a really long Easter weekend starting tomorrow when we get home. I love that the plan at this point is to head for the cottage on Thursday and enjoy the awakening of the bay and the bluff, maybe find our way onto an easy trail and do a bit of walking, watch some movies, do a bit of maintenance and some weekend cooking and reading and laughing and talking. I love the cottage no matter what time of year it is and I love that it is ready for us no matter what time of year it is but I really love when it doesn’t take several hours to warm the place up.
Today I love that my dear friend whom I’ve never met face to face has managed to go for an entire year without having a seizure and I love that it took patience, determination, CBD oil, attitude, the determination of her friends to see her do it, and a whole lot of swearing and foul language. I love that Caitlin has all those things, and I especially love the swearing acumen which she has in spades and which I will not even try to compete with here because while I love a good challenge, I know when I’m outclassed, outgunned, and outranked and that’s just fecking fine by me!
Today I love homemade egg and sausage sandwiches. I love making up recipes as I go along. I love writing my radio show. I love talking to people. I love trolling trolls. I love when I find memes and gifs that say exactly what I want to say. I love that there are more people who know that most people are good than there are fools who are determined to convince us that there are masses of bad people.
Today I love drinking coffee on the road while I watch another hundred miles go by.
