Today I love slow and steady Saturdays and their cheery way of gathering us into the weekend proper. I love the sculptures of Snow, the embellishments and the decorations that it provides of walls and trees and posts and things. I love how every hard task becomes an easy thing to look back on once it is done. I love how hard work done well inspires valid pride. I love how easy it is to be carried along by good people having fun and doing something rejuvenating. I love that my team was declared the winners of the second draw last night and that it was the last thing I was thinking could happen, because we are mostly newer players with the exception of our very seasoned vice. I love that I was prepared to declare us winners simply because we had so much fun, but to find out we tied for most wins and beat the other team when we met them was a pretty fun thing to have happen to us last night. I love that I am shocked because I have so little experience and I know that the honor for winning falls on my team for being the coolest and most sincerely fun loving group.
Today I love the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market and meeting people down there who I enjoy talking to. I love the Owen Sound Public Library and all the options for accessing and acquiring information and entertainment that they provide. I love walking around downtown and feeling like I belong there, I love this little city of dreams and fun and music and art and life.I love that many people turned up at the open mic last night and we had quite a show of good friends and new friends. I love that we had someone from Italy sing for us and a young woman from our own town who had never performed in public before and happened to wander in to get out of the cold and both these artists were wonderful and I hope to see them back again.
Today I love that my hair is crazy long and I have no idea when that happened, though I knew it was long, I just had no idea that it was over eighteen inches. I love that my hair grows like I’m a teenager, ’cause in my heart I’m a teenager and always will be. I love how when I was a teenager I couldn’t wait to become an adult so I could show adults how to be adults properly and now that I’m an adult I realize that the proper way to be an adult is to retain ones youth for as long as one can.
Today I love sipping my coffee while I admire Winter’s artistic flair when it comes to decorating with a snowy theme.
