Today I love random meetings with people I’ve interacted with over my life thus far. I love that I met up with at least four people today downtown that I’ve taken classes with or done shows with, writing, improve, music and poetry and crafts. I love that my little city bustles and bulges with opportunities to expand my abilities and experiences. I love that I am fully receptive to these experiences. I love that I got to have lunch with the Every Fourth Friday group and that I got to dress up for them as the God of Good Fortune once again to celebrate the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. I love that everyone had a good time, and the food was good and the company was wonderful. I love that we got to see the Year Of The Pig Art Show today because this was our last chance before they take it down. I love that our local gallery, the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, partners with our community often and has shows that are accessible to our wonderful local artistic community. I love that I knew more than 60 percent of the artists in that show and recognized almost every name as a local artist.
Today I love that there will soon be food in our fridge and cupboards as today is grocery day. I love that the market food is here and mostly put away already. I love that there is lemon poppy seed loaf in the fridge and peanut butter cookies on the counter and all the bread and that I made most of this stuff. I love how easy it is to get my attention drawn in to baking. I love food and I love making it for people I love and enjoy. I love that I took cookies and poppy seed loaf to curling last night and our friend Kristine brought cookies as well and they were good stuff.
Today I love that there will be fish for supper tonight. I love that we came home from the market and realized we’d forgotten something and yes, we went back for it. I love that we are the kind of people who spontaneously charge out and do things when we have the opportunity to. I love that we are considering a nap soon, because we are the kind of people who like naps as well.
Today I love drinking coffee while I ponder the wonderful peace and tranquility of napping, and that might be enough … or maybe not.
