Today I Love Making Progress

reorganized dining room
The new age of dining …

Today I love making progress with the Household Reorganization Project here in the castle. I love how different the living room looks, still with all the instruments in it, but now much less like a music room yet still where the music is made. I love that we have reorganized so many things and now we have a functional dining room where before we had a dysfunctional one with lots of stuff that had no place to be. I love that I am as happy for the things that now have places to stay as I am when I get a new place to hang out for a bit, like when I move my recliner a little to the left as is going to happen sometime in the next little while to try a new great room arrangement. I love that we call the great room by that iconic name not because it is big or spacious or even over the top fancy but simply because it really is a great little room and most of our living is done there and since there’s a living room already and this room needed a name and since it is such a great little room … well, you get the picture. I love hanging out in the great room no matter where my recliner is situated in here.

Today I love that I’ll be on the road to the cottage to shuffle a few things from here to there and a few things from there to here and to check on the systems and the all around general well being of the place and to look for my ice knife that seems to have gone missing. I love the drive out to there, love the memories that fill my heart, love holding them close as I pass through my childhood haunts. I love this corner of the world and whenever I think I’d like to live someplace else, I always worry that I would spend too much time wishing myself home again.

Today I love oatmeal with peaches, mangoes, pineapple and strawberries in it. I love that we made a big mess of food yesterday but miraculously we kept the kitchen clean. I love that I still plan to make more food and that there will be dinners galore for the rest of the week. I love keeping busy, it keeps me from worrying about things that would keep me busy. 😉

Today I love drinking coffee while I make plans to finish all the old things and start all the new things.

Today I Love Making Progress

Kelly Babcock

I was born in the city of Toronto in 1959, but moved when I was in my fourth year of life. I was raised and educated in a rural setting, growing up in a manner I like to refer to as free range. I live in an area where my family history stretches back 6 or more generations. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 50 and have been both struggling with the new reality and using my discoveries to make my life better. I write two blogs here at Psych Central, one about having ADHD and one that is a daily positive affirmation that acts as an example of finding the good in as much of my life as I possibly can.
