Today I love engaging with my world at so many levels and for so many reasons. I love that most people reciprocate when they are engaged. I love how wildly and intricately the different threads of my life are interwoven with themselves and with the threads of others, love the beautiful pattern that weaving creates, love the richness of the cloth of life that we all wear and share. I love that I cannot go anywhere these days without people saying hello and calling me by name, and I’m sorry that I don’t remember everyone’s name, but I I’m happy to report that you all look familiar … most of the time. 😉 Ha ha. I love that this community of mine is so deep and broad and full of so much culture and interaction and joy and fun and warm friendly play. I love how we all mostly get along most of the time. I love that I’m somewhat opinionated but people let me get away with that a lot so I think that maybe many agree with me and the many more humor me. I love that I’m okay with that. I love that I am a story teller and that I am becoming an elder of my community by virtue of my years, though I’m fairly certain that my being a wise elder will still be a long time in coming.
Today I love that the Grey Bruce Dragon Boat Club made a sterling effort and were rewarded with a great experience in the Kemble Non-motorized Christmas Parade. I love that Willy and Audrey welcomed us into their home and made us food and shared their kindness with us after the parade and that was wonderful. I love that my family’s old barn is their view out their back windows and my first school which is a one room school is their view out of their front windows. I love that little village and its tenacious determination to be all and more than it might appear to have the wherewithal to be, because the wherewithal needed for that is hidden in the hearts and souls of its population. As usual, well done, Kemble, I love the way you thrive so.
Today I love plans for a lunch that is going to be great and curry much favor amongst its consumers (a little pun, you will forgive me I’m sure). I love that I have been in the pool swimming already today and that the community center is such a great place. I love how friendly the staff are there.
Today I love drinking coffee while lunch steadily draws closer to being ready.
