Today I love this last Saturday of the year and doing all the same old Saturday things we’ve gotten used to doing. I love that 2018 is winding down and settling in for its assessment and I love that it will not be judged harshly by me and will be found to have been wonderful.

Today I love this winter pause, the snow melting and the world looking wet and shiny and almost lush. I love that the air tastes clean and rich and feels so gentle at this temperature after the chill we’ve had.

Today I Love Unique Thursdays

Today I love unique Thursdays and that there is no such thing as a normal day. I love that as we were getting ready to do our usual Thursday stuff I realized that this is nothing like a usual Thursday and then it occurred to me that there is never a usual Thursday and then I laughed at how obvious that is and yet I’ve been drifting through life thinking most Thursdays are just copies of older Thursdays.

I love that long ago I came to accept that once it was December the 24th I was going no further forward into making plans and it was time to abandon all those that could not be brought to fruition.
