Today I love radio show plans that get me excited. I love how fun it is to do a show for Georgian Bay Roots and I love that I get to do that about once a month. I love that I am going to have to do a blue moon show in December, that’s when I do a show early in the month and then have a second one to do at the end of the month. I love that the powers that be have preempted our show on the second of December so I’m doing the 9th, but my friend Jon Farmer has taken on a new job and has opted to take a break from the radio show in December so I still get to do a blue moon show. I love that I love doing this radio thing. I love how I’ve always been enamored of vintage radios and now I love them even more since our show airs on AM radio and not on FM. I love that I now have to steer clear of yard sales, flea markets and online sales on the Facebook because if I came across an old radio I don’t think I could restrain myself and I already have enough clutter in my world.
Today I love that every time I look out the window the weather is doing something different this morning. I love that there was grey sky and clear air when we were eating breakfast and fifteen minutes ago the snow was so thick I could hardly see the back fence and falling straight down, ten minutes ago it was blowing horizontally toward the North-East, five minutes ago it was heading South, and now it seems to be going due West. I love weather that tells me I’d be happier if I stayed indoors, ’cause staying indoors is pretty nice stuff. I love that I have at least one driveway to clear out today and by the looks of the snow falling now it will likely be two of them, mine seems to be filling up again.
Today I love serious machinery that moves snow with ease. I love fireplaces that keep the rooms they are in warm. I love looking forward to the weekend because it seems like we haven’t had a normal one in a month of more. I love the slow and steady progress of the reorganization of the dining room into what might be recognized as a dining room when I’m done with it.
Today I love drinking dark and soulful coffee while the snow whirls around the back yard and out into the city streets to find a place to lay down for a while.
