Today I love an easier day to maybe take a bit of time to relax in. I love that I still have lots to do and that every time I try to go through the to do list in my mind I give up because there are so many little things that want doing, but I’m feeling no pressure and I know a lot of those things will get done. I love that I am ready for this cool day and I think it’s ready for me. I love that there are people in the world who have made it this far in life without knowing that alphabet pasta is a thing because I love seeing someone discover something that brings them joy and reminds me to be joyous celebrating the little things in life. I love that I remember a time when I tried to figure out if all the letters tasted the same or if maybe the vowels were different, or maybe if even just one letter was made to have a different taste and maybe that letter was the letter “K” or maybe they were made to all taste the same to everyone except that the letter your name started with would taste different to you because of how you had grown up with that letter …
Today I love all the progress I made yesterday. I love that last night I was feeling pretty tired and then I got a message that said I could help out at the rink with the Learn To Curl night and in twenty minutes I was there and throwing rocks for the very good cause of helping some people learn to play the game in all its subtlety. I love when people are surprised at what all is involved in curling, how much you have to remember, how easily things can change, and how we never worry about what has happened, we just start figuring out what there is available to try next.
Today I love the cold white light that is coming in to the great room and making the lighting unnecessary. I love that there is so much music in my life. I love that through some horrid twist of fate I have become what we are calling an experienced curler on the Friday Night League and that means a sad but humorous down turn in curling quality, but I’m up for it, ha!
Today I love drinking coffee in the great room and laughing about how we call it the great room when it’s really smaller than an average living room.
