Today I love things done well and left on the path behind me. I love when something needs doing and I hit it and get it over with and then when I look back at it I realize I did well and should be proud. I love moving ahead with things whether they are big or small or even if they seem big but end up being just the size that intimidates until you hit that thing and get it moving. I love accomplishing goals almost as much as starting out on adventures and if they can be done at the same time that’s even better. I love that my life is now full of things to do. I love that I don’t ever get a chance to wonder what I should do for the next season. I love that dragon boating is just wrapping up at almost the same time that curling registration is scheduled for. I love that I was surprised by the email for registration and I immediately started thinking about curling and started feeling happy about the prospect. I love curling as much as I love dragon boating. I love kayaking and swimming and that I get to kayak any time I want to, as long as the bay is willing to accept me, and I get to swim any time I want to in the bay or at the pool. I love how full my life is.
Today I love that last night was our second last dragon boat paddle so we made an effort to get out into the bay and though the chop was light there were rollers with strength running in from the north and they were low but fun and when we turned side on to them they gave us a bit of a carnival ride but our sturdy little boat was easily up for it and we all just laughed at the chance to dance on the waves.
Today I love working in my Wednesday Office. I love writing about things I love. I love being challenged to create good work. I love being challenged to live a good life and make it full. I love knowing that my life is the sum of my actions and that I can make it better by being a spirit of adventure and a soul of integrity. I love that I get to live this life.
Today I love drinking coffee in my Wednesday office while I reminisce about the dragon boat, its crew, and the wonderful Tuesday evenings we’ve all had this season.
