Today I love the coolness of this morning. I love how hot it’s been lately and that it has been perfect for going swimming in the bay, but since I have a lot of work to do this week this cool sweet morning is the perfect way to start a busy time. I love that I can hear a lawn mower in the distance, but I have no idea what it’s being used for since there’s no grass growing anywhere right now. I love that we’ve had a couple of showers lately, though they were really more like momentary splatters. I love days that start out the way I want them to go, because not having to wrangle them in the opposite direction from what they are already is miles ahead of starting out with a red, right handed day of clerical abilities when you really needed a green, left handed day of parts manufacturing skill … if you know what I mean. I love that today is a day of saying no to sudden urges to climb trees and go for ice cream, unless the ice cream is on the grocery list and the best ice cream is being sold up a tree. I love that my co-host, Jon, is trying to come up with baseball songs for his next show, that seems like a lot of fun.
Today I love that my debut episode of the radio show got foiled as the first third was accidentally replaced with the first third of Kailey’s episode from last week and in the end it turns out that it was a good learning lesson for me, ’cause now I know why radio announcers say their names so often, ha ha. I love that I still loved doing the show and I’m looking forward to doing another episode in three and a half weeks. I love how much I learned over the last month and how much of it translates to recording anything.
Today I love quick oats when I haven’t gotten the good stuff made in advance for the week. I love that there are a few tomatoes growing on the plants I bought, though not enough to pay me back for the plants, but I know they’re going to taste good so I’m happy about that. I love that I am going to get some more garage clearing done over the next couple of weeks and that starts today with a bunch of recycling and the garbage from the last three weeks or so being taken to the waste disposal site.
Today I love drinking coffee in the cool of a beautiful morning while I get myself ready to do the million things I need to do this morning, today, this week, this year, this life.
