Today I love life’s ebb and flow. I love that at the market there was a sign saying goodbye to a market vendor who had passed away and less than ten feet away was a sign saying hello to the new born baby of another marketer. I love how life keeps circling around, quietly, but in full view so that it doesn’t interfere too much with us living our lives, but it reminds us that they need to be lived and lived well. I love that a Facebook friend quoted me today and that as a result I found her blog & her guest posts here at Psych Central, and now can’t quit reading them. Thank you, Pratibha. I love how I am always reminded to pay attention whenever I start to think I can just cruise through life. I love that I am aware that I need to be thankful to those who bring me back to the here and now. I love these soft quiet days of joy, love that my life seems so idyllic from the perspective of always looking for the things worth loving. I love that I have learned not to add up the things that upset me, discovered that they will add themselves up, keep their own tally, and I am free to keep the account of the things that bring me joy.
Today I love that there will be no cooking done in this house on this day, breakfast was at the market, and lunch came from the market and needs only to be heated up, and supper will be sushi with friends because it is about time. I love when we cook together and talk and laugh about the mess, but today we get to sit and be served, even though last night’s mess in the kitchen is still needing my attention. I love that even attention paid to dirty dishes is part of living life. I love that doing the dishes always has its own rewards, no matter how transient and fleeting they are.
Today I love Coral Bells in the garden, if that’s what those tiny flowers are, and in a way I hope they aren’t because then I can love these tiny flowers and love looking forward to finding out some day what flowers with such an enchanting name as coral bells could possibly look like. I love that I am again outside in the open air as I write this post.
Today I love drinking coffee and contemplating the circle of life from the peace of the garden.
