Today I love great ideas that seemingly appear out of nowhere. I love when they suddenly are just there like they were always around but I hadn’t quite noticed them. I love when they explode in my mind as completed thoughts that came from some distant galaxy and were targeted at my brain. I love when other people voice brilliant ideas and I’m all like, “Wow, no one thought of that before.” or like, “This person’s mind runs so deep!” I love when someone voices an idea that is amazing but undoable because it shows how much they are thinking and which way their thoughts are going. I love when someone has an idea that seems undoable but in a group the undoable parts are magically overcome with determination. I love when someone takes a seemingly undoable idea and refuses to be stopped and just does the thing. I love when people who are so high up that you think they aren’t watching, does something to make you realize that you never know who might notice you. I love that Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called sixteen year old Ryan Brown to congratulate him on successfully organizing and successfully accomplishing Owen Sound’s first ever Pride Parade.
Today I love that it is finally Friday again. I love that I will get to host the Open Mic at the Bleeding Carrot today after having to miss last week because I was playing in a charity golf tournament. I love that I have music in my life. I love going through my old CDs and tapes and albums and finding treasures there. I love people who share music with their children, teaching them that there is nothing new in music and nothing old, that there is only context and interpretation that changes and that all the brilliance is in that context and interpretation. I love that there is no life lesson that cannot be taught through love and that music is one of the perfect languages for teaching love.
Today I love that my hair is braided. I love that the world is cool and fresh and bright and I am immersed in it. I love that I am feeling strong and well even though I needed some “old man liniment” on my shoulder, HA! I love how very much alive I feel these days. I love that life is the best gift I’ve ever received and that people around me keep regifting it to me by making my life so very much worth living.
Today I love drinking my coffee outside in the fresh morning air with my hair braided and my life ringing out with love.
