Today I love show day ’cause even though I never get nervous, being on stage is still a rush of adrenaline for me ’cause I’m performing and that’s an opportunity to release my energy and that always makes me happy. I love that we’re taking the show on the road and that means people who have never seen our choir might get an opportunity to do so. I love how invested the choir’s members are in this show. I love that, although I’m a big fan of the one song that got cut, I love one or two others almost as much, and one of them I love a little more, so it’s a wash.I love that it’s Friday and that means open mic this afternoon and that means having to run like mad from one venue to the next but I’m sure I can do it and be okay. I love that the open mic I host is such a long running show, it’s almost an institution. I love that I have a whole lot of things to do today and that I won’t stop going until I fall into bed tonight. I love that I have to be up early tomorrow morning to drive to the really, really big city to take a course. I love learning because that’s the biggest part of all the adventures.
Today I love all the things I have to do. I love that I’m organized today, that things are falling into place, that I have a predetermined topic for my next blog post of the day. I love that I know where my tools are and that I can grab them on my way out of the drive. I love the little trailer that I got last year and I’m looking forward to organizing it with shelves and bins to hold my stuff. I love that my lathe and my other big tools are on their way soon to a shed that has a fair bit of room in it.
Today I love the chill of the morning air, and the promise of warmer temperatures as early as this afternoon. I love that there are suggestions of thunder storms today and I love thunder and lightning and the raw and disinterested power of nature, oblivious and unconcerned about where she will strike. I love that, while we fear the possibilities of the damage she can cause, the show she puts on is awful in its savage exquisiteness.
Today I love drinking coffee while I await the coming storms of nature and activity.
