a bit of snow

See any white eggs?

Today I love sharing secrets that are mine to share and sharing them with friends who are mine know how to appreciate love and secrets and such. Today I love the sound of laundry machines rumbling in the next room, doing their thing while I bide my time, waiting for them to beep and tell me it’s my turn to deal with the clothes. I love that the house smells like wonderful food this morning as we get ready for breakfast at the same time as we do laundry. I love that the stove was a mess and then I cleaned it and now I’m not looking at it so it’s like Schrodinger’s stove, it might be clean or it might be a pancake, bacon, egg mess, so at this moment it is both, and neither. I love pancake, bacon, egg breakfasts. I love that we are planning on going for a walk and taking weights with us to work on our core muscles. I love that I think of that as being re-cored, like we used to do with car radiators. I love that I have no idea whether or not a radiator can be re-cored still, that’s a mystery to me. I love how my mind wanders.

Today I love that it is Sunday though it has been such a long weekend with us being out of town on Thursday and Friday being a day off that it feels more like Wednesday of a holiday week. I love when Sunday’s imitate other days because they can be so very good at it, clever days that they are. I love that it is Easter Sunday and that it snowed here and that there was a meme on the Facebook about hiding un-dyed eggs in the snow as an April fool’s joke. I love that it is April, even though I haven’t gotten around to billing my clients for March yet, because April was such a great month in my house when I was a child, weather getting warmer, summer holidays getting closer, and my youngest brother and both my parents having birthdays in that month.

Today I love blueberry pancakes. I love the sun peeling the snow away, I love that it is just eleven and a half weeks until Summer starts and then just twelve or so weeks more until it is Autumn again. I love the way the year rolls endlessly through my four favorite seasons, love to feel the sweet earth’s respiration calmly continuing despite the insult and injury we heap on her.

Today I love drinking coffee while i peer out into the back yard to see if anyone tried to April fool me with un-dyed eggs.
