ice crack

… and wider and wider …

Today I love Saturdays most of all because some amazing things happen on Saturdays and my life wouldn’t be the same without those things. I love all the regular things that happen on Saturdays as well, the market and downtown and the cottage and movies and yard work and cleaning the house and cutting the grass and washing the truck and picnics and just Saturday sort of stuff, but I love that sometimes on a Saturday the world can suddenly stand up and applaud the wonderful things that can happen. My first day of freedom for summer holidays was often a Saturday. Saturday was when I used to get my allowance, and it was twenty five cents but that was a lot of money when I was young ’cause that was a lot of time ago. I love that today the ice in Colpoy’s Bay suddenly cracked in the middle and a huge part of it started heading out into Georgian Bay and though we didn’t see it crack, we knew it was solid one minute and the next minute I looked out and there was a huge line of open water out there. I tell you, big things happen on Saturdays, and I love them all.

Today I love how my world sparkles with love and joy and happiness. I love that there are people in my life that make me happy. I love that my home is full of love and joy. I love that my community is mostly a happy one. I love that I do not limit my community’s boundaries and that there are people living many miles away that are in my community. I love that I have found these things, this home, this community, this love, this joy. I love loving and being loved.

Today I love farmers’ market breakfast. I love that the outdoor honey stall is open at the market again. I love that Kate and her fabulous pottery have returned to the market. I love the plans today to clean up the house. I love that we think we’ll watch a movie tonight and now we will spend the day deciding what to watch. I love all the options, and that I’m championing “Cloud Atlas” but I’m open to other suggestions. I love that if we don’t watch Cloud Atlas I’ll be excited to watch what ever is chosen.
