Today I love good old Tuesdays and the way they have of being able to take on the burden of Monday’s disappointments. I love how they’re all like, “Don’t worry about it, Monday, you bit off more than you could chew but we’ve seen that before and we know we’ll get through this all right, right?” Good old Tuesdays. I love how they feel like adventure and comfort at the same time. I love their way of making things seem alright and still seem exciting. I love how, for me, this Tuesday we have today is my regroup day from yesterday’s road trip. I love that I have lots of Monday things left to do and some Tuesday things as well, but I have determination and a positive attitude, and this day is going to shine. I love that I intend to make Tuesday look like it should be Friday, ’cause all the things are gonna get done. I love shiny, new, fresh out of the box Tuesdays that start with a clear sky, a sunny sunrise, and a warm forecast. Good old shiny new Tuesdays.
Today I love that it is once again laundry day as so many other days often are and that makes the house seem alive and busy, ’cause the laundry is always going, going, going. I love that I have errands to run and appointments to get to and still I have the laundry going and I just flip it through all it’s various stages as I come and go from this task to that. I love the way the sun falls in through the window saying, “Oh, sorry, didn’t see you there, I hope I’m not disturbing you with all this wonderful, glorious, honey gold light of mine.” And I love that I actually could talk back to the sun and say, “Not at all, my friend, I’m so glad you’re here with this light all around you.” and I could say that out loud and there could be people here to hear me and they would shake their heads and smile and that would be fine because that’s the kind of guy I am and that’s the world I live in. I love my world.
Today I love sardines. Hey, don’t judge. I love that spring can be such a collage of things, snow and sun, new green and old dead leaves, crispy cold air and the smell of rich black earth just thawed and warming in the new light. I love the comforting sound of the winter tires roaring on bare pavement. I love finding the perfect thing for a gift for someone.
Today I love drinking coffee in a celebration of a glorious and sunny, fresh brand new good old Tuesday of busyness.
