Today I love no pressure Saturdays where I can just ease into and on through the day. I love that we’re caught up on all the special seasonal stuff and we’re just coasting through the regular day to day stuff. I love that, though I did not sleep all that well last night I’m up early and moving forward. I love that though we’re in the middle of a snow squall watch the sun is shining and the sky is a beautiful hard winter blue. with the biggest fluffy white clouds that can fit into that space without making the day really cloudy. I love that the market was all markety and calm and normal and yet it’s just one more market day left before Christmas holidays. I love breakfast at the market still, it’s now a Saturday tradition for me that has been going on for over five years. I love that, although it isn’t officially winter yet, you would never know that by looking out the window. I love that, if we’re going to get all this snow, we’re getting it and getting through it and that will just make spring all the sweeter when it comes. I love the rolling years and the passing of time, it may be considered by some to be the slow losing of life, but without it, there is no life to lose. I love that I do not fear its passing, I don’t even endure it, I revel in it.
Today I love that we’re off to the museum this evening for the tenth annual “Moreston by Candlelight” event where they light up the little village there and have different music in the different buildings and open all the exhibits for the evening as well. I love that our museum plays such an active role in our community’s daily life, and that it supports so many people in their attempts to educate and illuminate our many shared cultures that make up this wonderful community of ours.
Today I love my warm coat and boots and mitts and hat. I love that there is snow to move because it reminds me that the snowblower is working very well. I love that we will be off to the cottage in the next day or two to blow the snow there and make it accessible again and that in a week and a bit we’ll be off to the cottage to spend most of our holidays there. I love that we had all autumn to figure out what we needed at the cottage to be comfortable and be able to function there and it looks like we figured it out.
Today I love sipping coffee in the warm and soothing sunlight of a snowy, late autumn day.
