Today I Love The Solitude Of Country Mornings

Worthy of worship ...Today I love the solitude of country mornings. I love the sun shining over the rise to the east and lighting the other side of the valley to the west. I love the quiet of mornings at country retreats. I love the reverent sense of big views that look so worthy of worship. I love the views that I seem to be blessed with each day.

Today I love that the coffee klatch that ensues when writers get together is a fun thing to watch from a distance. I love that I have dedicated two days to writing and so far that’s been “literally” great. I love that, in rereading the story I’m working on I’ve found that I like the work so far. I love that parts of it still make me laugh. I love that I know where it’s going.

Today I love Sundays and the memories of a small town on the Sabbath. I love that I still like to contemplate big questions, postulate possible answers and consider the ramifications of those big questions and possible answers. I love that quiet country settings are great for big question contemplation.

Today I love coffee with writing and coffee and contemplation and coffee and mornings. I love coffee  and the way it fits into my life.

Kelly Babcock

I was born in the city of Toronto in 1959, but moved when I was in my fourth year of life. I was raised and educated in a rural setting, growing up in a manner I like to refer to as free range. I live in an area where my family history stretches back 6 or more generations. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 50 and have been both struggling with the new reality and using my discoveries to make my life better. I write two blogs here at Psych Central, one about having ADHD and one that is a daily positive affirmation that acts as an example of finding the good in as much of my life as I possibly can.
