    they just become more helpless……….. if they don’t quit ridiculing and mocking to escape help!!!!! fine then be crazy for ever!!!!!!!!! see I’ve heard it all. or have I?

      julie, it seems that you are referring to an addict’s tendency to continue in their downward spiral. Many addicts need to hit their ‘bottom’ before they are ready to seek help for their addiction. Perhaps the person you care about has not hit this level of pain, and is not ready for help. It can be very difficult for those who care about them. We wish you both the very best.
