    I know lots of people have a low opinion of AA for different reasons, and it isn’t for everyone; however, I never met more honest people than the ones in those meetings. And their honesty helped me get honest with myself, something I struggled with for most of my life. And you are correct that honesty is a key ingredient in sobriety. It is difficult and painful and often embarrassing, but I think that brutal honesty is part of the difference between being in recovery and being a dry drunk.
