can hypnosis help in ptsd or acute anxiety? also, i know i need to join a support group, but i have endured so many, and varied & different types of traumas in the last 5 yrs and one in particular i deal with every day, that is, to my knowledge a subject that people are afraid and apprehensive to even speak about or ask about for several reasons that are all very legitament and believe that what is being done to them is so rare that they either won’t be taken seriously, because it is so absolutely outragous & unbelievable, and that a therapist might consider them delusional. but also in the last 4 yrs my husband drowned, i was dignosed with cancer, i have lost my livelyhood to embezelment, my precious 15 yr old poodle had to be euphanized, my home was totaled by drunkdriver and i lost everything & was injured. i have chronic pain from yrs of broken bones and injuries from my abusive husband. these are a few of the reasons i need a support group.

Kimberly, what an incredibly tough time you’ve had – so much to face, from so many directions… I’m so sorry for your loss… for your many losses…

Yet I’m also inspired by the strength you’ve found to meet all of this heartbreak in the way that you have – to continue searching for the support you need to sustain yourself through it all.

I’m no expert on hypnosis, but I have heard from many people that they found it useful in helping manage their anxiety and getting through times of trauma.

And, as you wrote, support groups can be extraordinaryplaces of healing, too.

I hope you find a place that feels right for you soon, whether that be with the hypnosis, with a support group, or maybe even with a therapist who you feel comfortable will take all of your concerns and experiences earnestly, and will treat you with the care and respect you always deserve.

And may your ongoing story be infused with healing and hope…
