    Thanks for the article. As a mom of 3, I often put myself last, but am doing more of what you are suggesting. My first husband died 7 years ago, and after being his caregiver for 6 years, I started realizing I needed to treat myself better. At first my kids did not enjoy me stepping out of the norm of always putting them first, but now I see that it helped them grow and seek out ways to help themselves provide for their own needs independent of me doing it for them.

    I will re-read this, as it is very intuitive

    Best article I’ve ever read. Taking a 21 day in-patient program\course based on these exact principles now. This is so relevant! But here’s the thing, who ever taught you how to relax? No one. No one teaches you any of these. Thus, it is up to us. Mentally, I have had to take a step (or two) back. This now effects everything I do, and the result, not good, when NOT practicing these 5 steps. I need to open a business & provide training to people on how to love yourself. Fuck yes!!
