    Yes, post Christmas blues is real! I think the rapidly approaching closure of the year also causes a lot of reflection & decision making. Thanks for these great suggestions for self care & greater wellbeing at this time of year!

    I like most of the points of your column, but why the topic heading for #3? The ebb and flow of life is true, as is a return to homeostasis. However, that does not mean there is a reason for what happened or that it is as it should be. For instance, there is absolutely no “reason” that a parent should lose a child to death, and that is certainly not “as it should be.” The better point here is that change (good and bad) is a part of life. We can use those events to grow and change, but the swing of the pendulum will eventually die down on this “thing”, allowing us to return to homeostasis.
