Socially Anxious Me…

That fire in my heart,
Will never go out,
My flame will continue to flicker,
The passion to live a life where I can thrive,

The hope of something better is what keeps me in this world,
Constantly working, constantly striving to improve
Oh, yeah!

But my old friend fear,
He’s always near,
Suffocating, strangling my every waking hour
Oh, yeah!

So, what do I do?
Gotta push through the pain,
Like a freight train,
And never ever stop,
‘Till I get to the other side

A life for me,
Gotta make me a life.
A life I want to live.
Oh, yeah!
I also have a blog, at www.ibeatmysocialanxiety.com. Please stop by, if you can, and subscribe to get information about social anxiety and mental health in general. Many thanks!
