    Thank you so much for making the distinction between loneliness and being alone. I socially isolate because that is what I want and need to be happy. The idea of people who don’t know me telling me to do something counterintuitive is beyond bizarre to me. I think the end of your article puts much needed emphasis on understanding people who are different from the “norm”, not assuming those who are alone are lonely, and understanding what resources would help people who choose to be more isolated for whatever reason.
