    I like the focus of that New Yorker article, that not being a parent doesn’t mean one necessarily dislikes children or doesn’t care about them. Any more than not wanting to be married means one doesn’t approve of marriage.

    I think that people have the tendency to think that something that doesn’t work for them is bad. Which may also explain why people are frequently hostile towards singles; perhaps being single turned out badly for them.

    I read this article last week and thought about forwarding it to you, Bella. I was surprised the The New Yorker published a piece like that, actually, because it is not the usual. I wonder if they’d publish an article about singles and the new demographics?

      Thanks, Simone. That would be so great if they would publish an article like you suggested! They rarely publish anything from people who have not already published there before, though.
