The Revolution Will Not be Tweeted

It’s the post-tweet, post-truth, post-modern, post full-sentences, post-Trump era.  NOTHING MATTERS.
Tell that to the young women standing in DC. Tell that to the young women in pink at the UN, at Trump Plaza, in Charlotte, NC and all over these US of A.  All the news that’s fit for him.  Young women everywhere have taken up the mantel from complacent to combative.  This is good.  Good for self-esteem for a whole generation.  They will learn to be strong.  They will learn to march.  They will learn to care for themselves with a little more gusto.

From the March in NYC: Apparently no one is standing down for abuse, xenophobia or misogyny. You may have even voted for him or skipped voting this year. Well wait til they take away your grandmother’s Medicare. Then you’ll see some marching in the streets, I’m sure of it. But for now proud, scared, bullied, shamed women of the Internet age, don’t let anyone tell you your voices don’t count. Tweet away. Some kind of tide is turning. Some kind of movement is moving.  And deep down it’s building character for you to care about something bigger than your newsfeed.

We hope:
*journalists are accountable
*money goes out of politics and back to schools
*planned parenthood becomes a refuge
*rape culture is disabled with a swift blow
*campuses demand fairness and free speech
*the media goes back to real news instead of reality TV
One can only hope.
@realdonaldtrump – tweet this!
