    So well put.
    Thank you for formulating how I think when treating offenders.
    We have to see the person as much as we can.
    Treat and help as much as possible while keeping in mind what you wrote.

    I worked in a program to treat sex offenders for 7 years. During that time I came in contact with many people who questioned my reason for doing this work, and voiced many of the myths that you cite. Basically, my own experience confirmed all your assertions.
