On the cheap? What is a person supposed to do if they cannot afford those high quality rehabs you disk of?!
My daughter has been seeking help for over three years!!!! She’s gone to the places that accept her useless medicaid! I live pay check to pay check so I can’t even afford to help put her in that quality facility you tout!
Here’s an idea; how about the rehabs start treating these addicts like they are THEIR MOTHER?!
The reason the poverty level addicts have a low rate of recovery success is because they can’t afford those rich folks places.
Do you have any idea how hurtful your article was? You said, without too much elusivity that if you’re rich you’ll have better care available.
Are only the well to do worthy of getting clean?

I don’t want to watch my daughter die. SHE DOESN’T WANT TO DIE, she keeps trying, but the crappy care she gets because she can’t afford those high quality places most certainly does speak loud and clear that she isn’t worth good care because she doesn’t have thousands of dollars a month to pay!

This is a good read. Yes, an addict needs affection to overcome his/her addiction. Any kind of substance abuse has spiraling effects on the mental and physical health of an individual. A person needs treatment and support of his/her loved ones to beat the addiction.

I totally am pissed off about what I just read. My son addict 28 years old. Has medicade and can’t get help. All the commercials Ive seen on TV In New Jersey states there is help call this number know one will be turned away. Bullshit. Ive called all those numbers without Insurance or cash there is no help. My son has been to rehab in Florida and guess what those rehabs closed due to Fraud. My son goes to to detox in New Jersey they give meds ( suboxen) he is given low dose to high dose and let go 5 days. Has withdrawls off suboxen now medicating seld heroin again. Ive kicked him out and hes homeless. Bunch of bullshit. All about making the money m. A business. Now what he dies????
