    Well written article. I have noticed the same thing with society nowadays. It’s kinda like a sort of narcissism where we feel that we’re not adequate or important unless others take notice and adorn us with praise. It’s almost an all or nothing approach to life. I shelter my kids from it as much as possible. We never watch MTV or reality shows. I praise them for their effort as well as the results and morals are not only taught but modeled as important.

    Kind of ironic when you talk about your family pressuring you to be famous and how you became a low-level celebrity yourself by writing self-help books for introverts. So the message of this article is a bit hypocritical coming from you.
