    Hello Hope,

    thanks for providing this blog as well as your personal one. It got me into reading about RO DBT. I have a question though. I am living in Germany and there is not a single RO DBT professional. There are a quite a few DBT ones. How can I know which therapy to seek when I have UC as well as OC traits?

      Hi Chris – Thanks for the comment. Temperament (i.e. Undercontrolled vs Overcontrolled) is biologically-based, meaning that it doesn’t change over time. For example if you are born with blue eyes, your eyes don’t suddenly turn brown at some point in your life. What this means for you if you are identifying as over controlled (generally speaking), there might be times when you are feeling impulsive, want to let loose and have fun, or have what we call an emotional leak (anger outburst, crying uncontrollable, etc.) after holding things in, which might look a bit undercontrolled.
