    The main thing you have to understand is that if your daily calorie consumption exceeds the amount you spend, there’s no way you are going to lose weight.. so even eating “diet” food only it’s quite easy to be overeating regularly or even constantly. For this reason it’s important to have a complete diet plan and workout program(!) to succeed at losing extra pounds. Those “101 tips” (I don’t promote anything, you can get it for free) perfectly explain the basic principle and why most people fail on their weight loss journey. Another good idea is to visit your local nutritionist and/or fitness trainer.

    Weight Loss is Simple
    The most important, yet simple, concept that you need to know about losing weight is this: If you burn more calories in a day than you consume, you will lose weight. Forget about complex carbs, or sugar levels, or the Atkins diet, or eating 6 times a day, or drinking 8 glasses of water, or having a fast metabolism.

    It doesn’t matter who you are, how old you are, how fat you are, if you have thyroid problems, or if you want to give that bullshit excuse that you have a slow metabolism. If you burn more calories in a day than what you eat, you will start losing weight quick. Period.

    Your Eating Habits
    For a lot of people this is easier said than done. Most people love to eat. On top of that, you get advertised constantly everyday about eating this great new Margarita and cheese quesadilla from Applebee’s, Chili’s, T.G.I.F.’s, or whatever the place may be. On top of that, some “foods” add a whole lot of sugar or other substances to them so that you’ll get addicted and crave them more. Sugar is very addictive. If you didn’t know that, now you know.

    To get over your eating habits, you’ll have to develop a new lifestyle. And this lifestyle isn’t that difficult to keep. Your body will adapt, which will make it easier for you. When you get into the habit of eating less and eating better, your stomach shrinks. You can’t eat that much anymore. And foods that are high in fat and bad calories are nasty to you.

    Believe me; I’ve been on both sides. In fact, I can easily get on the side that loves to eat Hardee’s Monster Burger and I can easily get on the side that makes that burger nasty to me. I just need to give my body a few days of preparation to adjust. It goes without saying that my body and I feel a lot better when the Hardee’s Monster Burger is nasty to us. It’s not that it tastes bad. It’s just that it literately makes me feel like throwing up when I’m eating it.

    Eating Habits that Get Results
    Your new eating habits can start by relating them to how much weight you want to lose. For example, when I was 200 pounds, I went on my own low-calorie diet and lost 20 pounds in one month. And I didn’t gain it back either. The diet was simple: I ate a salad every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, every single day of that month for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would make a huge bowl of salad and eat it throughout the day. You will start losing weight fast before you know it.
