Last week’s cartoon was about my most unpopular cartoon in 2014. I hope to do better this year. 🙂

And how kind of you to share this link! (Please don’t upload the cartoon to Pinterest, however. Thanks.)
Today’s cartoon was the most popular in PsychCentral for 2014. Yay!
I’m going by Google Analytics for the numbers, which says this one had more clicks than any other cartoon this year, from January to November. (December is still new to getting views, so I’m not counting last month.)
It’s interesting to me as a cartoonist, because the original was in black and white. I almost always color cartoons for PC, but it takes a lot of time, and I liked that one as is, so I just went with it. It also has a lot of text in it, although it’s bigger than it is here, of course.
Of course, I also had fun with my inspiration for it: an old black and white movie with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers: Shall We Dance. And it made me laugh, so there’s that.
The couple in the movie also had a tiff, and this led to a lively discussion about couples counselors, marriage counselors and relationship therapy on that post.
Of course, it just could be that this youtube clip of the movie, and that provocative song about potatoes and tomatoes, is what made my cartoon sing.
Next up: a cartoon about a depressed snowman!
