How to Build a Cult

Not all Mind Management Systems are equal. Some have spawned religions, others have flourished into cults.  Quite a few of these involve some rather supernatural claims. A recurring theme is channeling.

I read your whole article in hoping for a reasonable opposing perspective of Abraham Hicks. Instead I’m just confused of the point you were trying to make. Are you attempting to disprove the existence of a non-physical world using Dissociative Personality Disorder? Or are you saying Hicks is a cult leader? These seem to be 2 different points that need to be different articles as you don’t make a clear connection between the 2.

For the sake of organization, Let’s take your cult argument: A Cult is defined as a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object, However Abraham (Ester) Hicks does not promote a devotion to any particular figure or object. Rather Hicks teachings promote self awareness and understanding. In my research I have not found a call to action of worshiping this figure, or an insinuation/allowance of worshipping or devotion of this figure. I would welcome you to reply with the source of proof that support your claims, as I have not found it.

      Hi Chris,

I appreciate your comment. Perhaps the title needs to be reconsidered. In light of your comment, I can see now that it can be confusing. Thank you for writing.
