I was married to a person like this for 20 years, it never gets better. They only up the ante and will resort to violence if necessary. I thought I was the one with the problem until a counselor told me that I was the “sick puppy”. Still took me a while to get out due to the extreme quilt they can throw at you. In retrospect I can believe how bad I was treated, I almost lost my career and extended family….. Only wise words for some one in a relationship like this is to cut bait now!

My man likes to PUNISH me by BITING when hes mad at me or thinks im cheating. He bites my clitoris so HARD that it brings tears to my eyes and i have to beg him to stop. He often threatens to bite it off….stating that, that way no other man will be able to make me cum. Is he a sadist?

Me and my bf have been going out for 6 months. He likes to randomly bite me. And always wants me way to close to him to the point of me not being able to breath properly(I do have asthma)
He told me before that he wants to kill people, how he has dreams about it. He also told me that he likes hurting me, in any way cuz he likes to see the look on my face. It also seems to turn him on.

Sadism is about enjoying inflicting pain on others. Sadism has nothing to do with an inherent lack of empathy, nor is that part of the definition. Some sadists lack empathy for reasons unrelated to sadism. Many sadists have empathy, and employ their empathy throughout their lives. Misinformation like this is intellectually lazy and attracts people like the commenters who feel they have been targeted and victimized and are looking for reasons why. They stumble upon this post and lap up the misinformation and become more paranoid. Do your research. Sharpen up. You’re in very big shoes.
