I had this done. During allergy season! One of my worse experiences. The packing wouldn’t stay in… a bunch of other uncomfortable stuff happened and years later I can say it didn’t make much of a difference, but that’s just me. Good luck with yours

Ugh, wow. I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t make much of a difference. 🙁 Mine’s feel pretty decent right now, although I’m just a tad bit swollen. The real test will be when allergy season comes along, I suppose! Still…it was hell, and I’m going to have to be breathing better for YEARS to come before I could truly say that the experience was worth it!

Thank you for this info! I am in need of not only septoplasty but sinus surgery and possible adenoid removal as well. I have had panic attacks for years. My attacks are self managed and no daily meds, yet still horrible. I feel the claustrophobia will be my wost enemy. The thought of not being able to “get out of here” and remove myself from any discomfort is my only roadblock. How was the claustrophobia? Thanks so much!

Hi. Thank you for the informative pre-op tips. Could you provide an update of how successful you felt the septoplasty procedure has been years later? My spouse is considering this but leery of the longevity of effectiveness. Thanks!
