Building a Wall (Toward Treatment)

The language is insensitive–even incendiary: crazy, sicko, repeatedly pressing for more mental institutions like “the old days.”

The comments–and their innuendos–divide–and, in the process, further stigmatize mental health.

Add to all the indices of various psychiatric disorders which are in the DSM-5, and a few like malignant narcissism, he might have anosognosia, a deficit of self-awareness, a condition in which a person with some disability seems unaware of its existence which is thought to be a result (Wiki tells us) of physiological damage to brain structures, typically to the parietal lobe or a diffuse lesion on the fronto-temporal-parietal area in the right hemisphere. (He should have a brain MRI in his next physical.) Of course the defense mechanism of massive denial in the face of evidence is the more likely explanation for his total lack of insight and self-awarness, and his rampant use of projection. If Trump was merely a sick puppy he’d deserve pity, however he is dangerous like a rapid dog.
